Q4 2020 Performance of Turn-Based Tactics Games on Android in France

As the year 2020 came to a close, the turn-based tactics genre on Android saw varied performances across its top titles in France. Sensor Tower provides a deep dive into the numbers that shaped the final quarter.

Tank Stars by CASUAL AZUR GAMES witnessed a peak in downloads in mid-October with over 11K, followed by a gradual decrease to 8.8K by the year's end. Weekly active users saw a high of 69.8K in late October, but this figure also saw a decline, finishing at approximately 59K.

Miniclip.com's Bowmasters experienced its highest downloads for the quarter in late December at 5.3K, although this was a decrease from earlier in the quarter. Active users peaked at 27.1K in mid-October and ended the quarter slightly higher than they began, at around 31.7K.

Supersonic Studios LTD's ‎Flick Chess! saw downloads peak at nearly 3K in late October, before a sharp decline to just 164 by the end of December. The weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting the quarter at 4.1K and dropping to 806 by December 28th.

SQUARE ENIX Co., Ltd.'s FINAL FANTASY BE:WOTV showcased significant revenue fluctuations, with highs of over $24K in both late November and late December. Downloads for the game peaked at 1.7K in mid-October, while active users showed a relatively stable trend, ending the quarter at approximately 3K.

Lastly, The Walking Dead No Man's Land by Deca Games showed a revenue increase to $8.2K at the year's end, up from $4.8K at the start of the quarter. The game's downloads hit a high of 913 in the last week of December, with active users remaining stable around 4.4K throughout the quarter.
